Last week we wrapped on the commercial for the Roanoke and Botetourt Athletic Clubs (the RAC and BAC). The spot started airing on Tuesday, highlighting the infamous water slide. It will probably really make you want to go swimming. You can watch the spot here.
Abandon Films web presence is now in full swing.
Though we intend to develop a more elaborate website in the future, for now AbandonFilms.com is basically a splash page for all the ways you can connect with us. From there you can view our video portfolio at Vimeo.com, become a fan on Facebook, and interact with us on YouTube.
In addition, this production blog will remain active with recent video and production news.
If you haven’t already, take a moment to connect with us by adding us as a contact on these social networks. If you spend any time on these sites at all, you will find it an easy way to keep up with our recent work and engage in conversation with us.
Thanks!

Below is our latest TV spot, which was produced for Roanoke’s Carpet Factory Outlet. It simultaneously advertises carpet, and pays homage to one of my favorite movies. Special thanks to Access Advertising for liking the pitch and letting us run with it. We definitely went unconventional with this. Let us know what you think.

Watch the TV spot for Taubman’s weekend concert series. Written by Justin Rossbacher. Sketches by Jason Ried and animation by Won Novalis.
Justin Rossbacher’s Enter-Dimensional premiered at the Taubman Museum of Art last night for the Best of Open Projector Night. The film was showcased with 11 other shorts that were produced by local filmmakers around Central Virginia.
In Roanoke, Virginia, the Taubman Meseum of Art is what everyone is talking about. We had the privelage of creating the first TV spots!
The museum opened to the public last weekend. For Central Virginia, it is quite an impressive place, with great intentioanality put into it’s design. If you live in Central Virginia, plan a visit sometime soon. You won’t regret it.
Justin Rossbacher’s short film Focus is now for sale at Behemoth.com, a new electronic media distribution platform (think iTunes) targeted toward families. Check it out here.

Also, our short film Sacrifice has recently been featured at Worship House Media and is now available here.
